Members of today's global business community need more than e-mail and Internet
chat. They need to participate in live discussions, deliver multimedia
presentations, share files, and work together in the same application from
anywhere in the world. Employees and strategic partners of multinational
corporations can no longer expect to meet in the same conference room to develop
a product or discuss business strategy.
|
|
Exchange Conferencing Server provides meeting technologies to meet this need. Its
data conferencing provider allows you to chat, use a whiteboard, and share files
or applications with other meeting participants. If your computer is equipped
with a camera and a microphone, you can use the video conferencing provider to
see and speak with other participants.

You can schedule online meetings from Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web Access, or any
Web browser that supports frames and Javascript, such as Microsoft Internet
Explorer version 4.01 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.5 or later. In fact,
you can schedule meetings from any messaging program, such as Lotus Notes.

|
To participate in a meeting, you need the browser and---for data conferences---a
T.120-compliant conferencing program, such as Microsoft NetMeeting. If you are
using Windows 2000, you already have NetMeeting. The newest version of
NetMeeting is also available as a free download.
